Today is @worldcancerday and I’ve been living with and fighting cancer for 1,586 days.
That’s 38,064 hours
That’s 2,283,840 minutes
Unfortunately my case is inoperable. That means we are using the chemo to control the cancer because we can’t remove it with surgical intervention.
Fortunately I still have lots of time ahead of me and I feel really good. Most people wouldn’t know by looking at me if I didn’t tell them my story.
Over the years of this battle I’ve learned a lot but there’s one lesson that stands out today on @worldcancerday
I’ve learned that cancer is more than a medical diagnosis—it’s a deeply personal experience.
I’m sharing my story in the hope that we can create a world where every person’s unique needs and views are recognised and supported.
Do me a favor. If you know anyone whose life has been impacted by cancer, check in on them today!

Well said. I’m in a similar boat- Stage 4, inoperable, incurable, etc etc. Even though I’ve been NED for a year—surely each day at this point is a gift of God—cancer is never far from mind and emotions.
God bless you on your journey!
